In that double elimination tournament, that game did occur, but it didn’t appear on the tournament page nor my notification tray. I lost on time because of it.
Curiously enough, in that same tournament, 3 players timed out on the first round. It might be worth mentioning.
I’d be amazing if the team could fix the bug, or at least award me the 3rd place I was about to get.
It seems to be a longstanding bug in tournaments for some years, to have double, triple or quadruple games appear occasionally in some rounds.
I think timing out any of the games disqualifies a player, though only one game “counts” towards the score (the one linked on the main tournament page), so one can consider resigning the others within the first 6 moves, which leads to auto-annulling, to avoid timing them out – some time ago, the devs weren’t sure of the cause or how to fix it.
