I used an AI to make paintings using only the terms “Baduk” and “Weiqi.” Thoughts?

Magic stones stay upright on the sides

My goodness. There’s still a long way to go. It begs to question why everybody’s so excited about AI. true, it does have a lot of potential but we’re still far off from decent and consistent results. A lot of hot (fried) air needs to escape from that bubble first.

But the internet is in trouble (and so are we), that’s a sure thing:

How did they measure this?

Why?

Are you too young? There was a golden period for doorways. And where are they now?

AI generated content has the same value as old nasty doorway. But more expensive to generate. So nothing to worry about. We have been through far worse things. We will handle it.

There was a golden age of sword fighting when at war, where has that gone? That’s one worry less but another bigger one came from it. Your ‘we will handle it’ sounds a bit naive to me

Google Search Machine is an AI now. So nothing to worry about other resources content.

And this is not the worst. The first answer from google is from Google Gemini itself. Which is almost always is wrong answer when I do a search.

I just tried to ask google AI to create a picture for me. Now I’m 100% sure that AI itself is not an issue at all. The issue is the users who trust it.

Thank you. I thought something is fishy and I was right. The title above the chart is misleading. This is about NEWLY CREATED CONTENT. Still interesting (though to be expected I guess), but different from CONTENT. The title of the study itself is fortunately much clearer.

I understood the graph for what is supposed to illustrate, newly created content. I agree that it was to be expected. However, I’m genuinely concerned. I have not yet found the proper words to express that because it is a complex matter. There’s nothing wrong with AI itself. I use ChatGTP myself and it helped me answer questions I had fast and more elaborate than I could have come up with myself any other way. But I’m aware that AI can come up with answers which are not complete and that AI seems to have a tendency to please it’s user. There’s a disclaimer at the bottom of the screen for a reason. The simple fact that AI can’t come up with a descent image of a goban on which a game is played after 4 years of trying (in this thread anyway) illustrates that AI is not done learning yet. In the meantime, AI is being presented (and perceived) as the answer to a lot of our problems and prayers and I, well, I’m just a bit worried. That’s all.

Astonishing how the AI shows the 4 year old’s incompetence of placing the stones on intersections!

As a parent of a 4-year old I would be proud :upside_down_face:

This is a very disgusting image. Everything is fake. Why do you post it here?

a) What? Of course it is fake.

b) Are you aware what this thread is about?
