rotating works. but no rotation command on ogs. roating does work though. but it seems like it would be a hassle.
canāt find a pic of conquest of go.
One of the top issues on the Github list is to create a go board that is accessible to vision impaired users. Two of the key requested subfeatures:
- screen reader support
- high contrast focus indicator
I donāt think this is easy to implement (basically the whole board rendering needs to change from canvas to svg) but I wanted to share in case you had additional input on the issue.
something like iPad or other huge Tablet may be easy to rotate while holding it with hands
Very nice initiative !
Glad to hear itās stable. It seems you have everything taken care of, which is good. Iām not an OGS developer, but I think itās possible to write and implement special code to add sound cue when in atari.
Maybe itāll be encouraging for you to know that Kajiwara Takeo had almost lost sight in his right eye and likely had poor vision in his second eye. You could check this information by going to Japanese wikipedia, though thatās the only source I could find to confirm it.
With last move indicator turned off I get similar problem, but atari indicator would be useless. My groups usually die before they are in atari. Any missed enemy stone is a threat.
So, I suggest plan that is opposite to what Iām training now.
You need very clearly visible last move indicator. And you need to learn to remember where the last stone is. Other stones should not be trusted. They should be used only as reminder of their real locations.
Its possible to play Go purely by memory while seeing last stone only. Though its very hard. But your goal is much easier - you have cheat reminder of locations of other stones. Donāt trust distorted image of these stones, use them as reminder.
