Lost Sound on Browser Upgrade

I updated to Safari 15.2 on macOS and lost sound for OGS

I have re-launched the browser, rebooted the computer, etc… without success. I re-looked at the OGS settings, but did not see anything obviously wrong

Safari provides audio for other websites (youtube, etc)

OGS in Chrome provides sound.

Any other recommendations?

Update – regardless if I log-in or log-out (and view a game as a guest), Chrome provides sound and Safari does not

Could you try checking if there are any errors that could help us track down what broke?

Here are the first 8 lines from the Javascript console. They popped up immediately while I was browsing a game. The last 4 lines have the comment “Audio group - “something” - " unlocked successfully, sounds should work now”.

But I also included the first line about “not authenticated”

Interesting, looks like it thinks the audio stuff is good to go - there’s no errors further down? I’d take the whole log if you wanna copy it all in there :slight_smile:

What I posted previously was the entire log, as far as I could see. Here is another log, from a fresh browser opening, to viewing a game in progress.

After the game ended, I toggled the upper right volume (mute and unmute) just to see what happens

Ah so it thinks the volume level is zero, can you hover over the buttons on the right and check that your volume slider is up a bit?

I am familiar with the volume slider. For all my experiments before I posted the observation, I both muted and unmuted the volume (by hitting the symbol on the left in your picture), and manually adjusting the volume with the slider.

Later I will post a console log. When I open it now, it resumes from the console log from the other day. To clear it, I have to restart the browser
