I’m using an SGF to review a game from the European Go Journal.
Is there a way to show the move number on the stones as I analyze the game?
I can’t find that setting anywhere. Thanks.
As far as I know there’s not an official way to do it like some setting.
There’s a trick you could maybe do where the numbering would be one off. I’m only suggesting this because I’m not sure when it would get added (maybe it wouldn’t be too hard of a front end change since variations support numbers).
Start a review of the game
For move 2 place it at move 4’s position, and the move 3 as it would be, and move 4 at move 2’s spot.
Example game
Move 2 and 4 swapped.
Then on move 5 you could copy the branch
And then paste it onto move 4 in the variation
It works because variations have move numbers.
So at some point in the game you can be in the main branch then click the variation branch and the numbers will show up (off by one)
