This is the first I heard that he had died. He was one of the best songwriters of the era. I remember hearing “Breaking Up Is Hard to Do” a couple years later (1964) on my transistor radio while delivering newspapers.

Speaking of Jazz and Blues…
And that comment there says it all… 
Great skills and awesome “jazz” rendition…
But this is not really what I wanted to share this time… occassionally in the “how to make Go popular” threads I keep insisting that the best way is to introduce Go early to schools and young people, because what you like and learn to love early and grow up with, you tend to like and love no matter how many years will go by.
In my case I am a “fanboy” of only four bands, because I grew up with their songs and made a huge impression to me:
The Last Drive
Ayreon
Soundgarden
and, last but definitely not least, Candlemass, specifically Messiah Marcolin’s era.
That band was - and in some ways still is - the golden measure and the ideal standard of a whole metal subgenre. Their 1990 Live performance in Fryshuset, Stockholm, is for me the epitomy of what a metal live show is and should be:
Music, vocals, stage presense, solos, crowd participation.
All top notch, a 75 minute work of art:
But Messiah Marcolin, despite his unmatched charisma on stage, was also notorious to work with, so he got kicked from the band, got rehired and got kicked again many years ago permanently… but last summer, out of the blue, they brought him back for one specific anniversary live show, in Athens, on the 13th of September 2025… thirty five years after the live in Stockholm and also, incidentally on of the few days that I wasn’t even in the country since at that very same day, Ayreon was holding their 30 years anniversary show in Tilburg and I had tickets for that.
Two once in a lifetime shows, held in two different countries at the same day… at least I got to see one of them. 
The other? Thankfully there is video.
35 years later, the band members are 60+, old and fat and with white hair, however, the music is still played at the same standards, the vocals are still there, the solos by Lars Johansson played to perfection, the crowd going wild and participating in each song.
All top notch, a 85 minute work of art:
I am glad to see that Leif Edling was having fun as well, since he had some serious health issues recently… may they rock on, for as long as they can and, if a miracle does happen and they manage to hold Messiah in the band, I hope that I might finally make a lifelong wish come true and watch that man, with that band, perform, while I am in the crowd, doing what that crowd does best, which is…
…SING and have fun, of course. You never “just listen to the music” in a show where Marcolin is the frontman.: 
… it goes without saying that I still remember the vast majority of the lyrics, though some of them I learned them wrong in the first place, since I used to replay those song in the casette player trying to decipher them (no internet in the nineties) and learn English and hone my “listening skills”.
