UI isn’t much about nature!

It is prevalent in many forms of Japanese art

Art doesn’t have to be about nature either. It’s about as human made as a UI anyway.

Anyway, not so much the point. I don’t know much about it, but it doesn’t bother me. I like being able to read the numbers as they are. If the green is less readable it doesn’t matter if it’s colour co-ordinated for example.

Not included in this change was the changes to the overview page that removed the content on the right side (links to groups, ladders, tournaments, etc.) so if you like those not being present, you can keep the experimental changes on for now, if you want them back but like the new nav bar, you can disable experimental.

Thanks this is nice. Was weird having only games on home screen. Definitely needs a rework one day haha

Things like this are known phenomena in design, and often are taken into account, like making darker and rounder things slightly larger to account for them looking smaller compared to brighter and more “angled” things.

Go players know this too! From the Wikipedia entry on Go Equipment:

Black stones are slightly larger in diameter to compensate for optical illusion of the white stones appearing larger when placed with black stones of the same diameter.

I think that on desktop, the auto-expanding should be added to the profile tab, with a single click on profile taking you to your profile, rather than clicking the tab than having to click again.

FYI this is now active on beta for those that want to test it out and see how it feels, and to make sure I didn’t break something for any devices out there. The behavior will now be a hover expansion like the rest of the nav bar drop downs on desktop, and on mobile you’ll click the icon to drop down the menu just like how it is currently.
