I introduced the idea of multicolored stones and how they work (Fractional Multicolour Go), the other rule aspects were worked-out through discussions and experiments that followed, with multiple people here on the forum. For example the parallel moves aspect was introduced earlier, I learned about it here Go variant: SAS Go
We’ve added a submit move button, so hopefully this prevents missclicks, especially for the last player in the round. You’ll have to click the place where you want to play, and then confirm it by clicking “Submit move”.
Not all variants support it yet, and the option to disable it (“immediate submit”) is not persistent yet.
Thanks, but it seems weird that I can change the move that I submitted by just clicking on the board again. Probably should add a “cancel move” button or something.
Also I just realised you are the one who programmed this site?
There is a cancel button. As previously you can change your move for a round, but now there is an additional confirmation. So if you click again, after having submitted a move, it creates a pending move for changing your move. I guess that is confusing, huh
I’m a contributor, but not the only one. If you are interested:
I’ll say that I believe my blue stones are unlikely to make enough eyes, and therefore I’ll work towards being connected to @Sadaharu 's stones. So hopefully it will be unprofitable for team black to capture Blue.
As a reminder for everyone, with 4 opponents, your color probably needs 5 eyes to guarantee survival in this game! That’s why I’ve mostly stayed in the corner so far. I think some of those eyes could be shared with your teammates’ groups, as long as they are also alive.
Smaller numbers of eyes might lead to ko-like fights and have a chance of living in some cases but it’s so hard to think about how that might work.
