I was looking at the old shiritori games from a couple of years ago, and thinking about the discussion we had recently in the Wordle thread. Well, this is “Wordle Shiritori” or, as I’ll call it, Pedantle, a mutative word game.
On your turn (which can be any time you like), take the word produced by the person before you and either
- change a letter
- add a letter
- remove a letter
so as to make a new word which hasn’t yet appeared.
Words in any language can be used.
I’ll start, with goban.
Let me take off the 濁点 in ば, so ba becomes ha
gohan (ご飯, rice/meal)
Fantasy setting in Tolkein’s Middle Earth
Romano, a strong-tasting hard cheese.
Romana, a woman from Rome
Romans, a book in the New Testament
Trying to get the game unstuck
All Pedantles lead to Rome
I did a silly mistake

Yep, accents, umlauts and all other diacritics may be ignored.
