Ranked games should have the "Disable analysis" box checked as a requirement

You can always go back and analyze after the game. Ranked games should not have in-game analysis. it destroys the whole purpose of ranking. If you want to turn if on yourself, that’s fine but it should be off by default.

If you don’t have the strength to read a situation, then you are simply not as good as someone who can and should be a lower rank.

Correspondence games have always had analysis, going back more than a hundred years in chess. Deep analysis is one of the distinguishing characteristics of correspondence play.

Sure, that’s fine for correspondance games. I’m mainly talking about ranked live games.

Then it would be more clear to say “ranked, live games” rather than “ranked games.”

It’s enough. If analysis has a longer history in correspondence go, then that only strengthens my point.

Lol no qualms with analysis, just thought it was a funny number of years to cite given the history of both games
