I have forgotten where you find the exact score of a k rating, where it is located - just what to check it to see how far over or under i am from 69k compared to when i last checked thanks

thank you i now have found with your direction appreciate the help mind you to realize iam still at 69k well thats a little dishearting but it is what it is maybe some day i can get to 68k who knows
The best way to get off 69k is to learn the rules.

well i never played 5x5 so i don’r know and most of those exerices does not give any instruction on how to win a game over an opponemt that know what they are doing thats for sure

i have tried to get a 5x5 board started but it won’t let set up that smallest i can get is 9x9 so how do i play board i cannot find or create

well it looks great how you describe it, but that’s not what it lets to do it shows the 5x5 game, but won’t let me score down to it – so I tried several times, nothing works - thanks for the helps mind you, and time spent i guess i just have to play 9x9 when I get tired of 13x13 and 19x19 –
no i did not— why can’t I play a ranked and my opponent gets credit for defeating me ??? so to play 5x5 i can’t have rank on i get it now again thx for the input
you need 5x5 to understand rules.

yes at 69k i don’t think iam worried about my rank. I was more concerned that others get credit where credit is due – why would anyone play unranked anyways ???

rank on the site is just a speedometer
true real rank is in your head
speedometer will not start to show higher speed if your car doesn’t actually move
you need to increase your true real rank first
and only then rank on the site will finally start to show different number
to increase their true real rank

unranked game is unranked for both players, not only you. Your opponent will not get credit if he wins

That is exactly what they give you.
If you can’t do those exercises, you have no idea what you are doing, so you have no hope of defeating anyone.
That is what “rank 69k” means: this person does not yet know the rules or the very basics of how the game works.
Those exercises show you how to know what you are doing.
When you can do those exercises, then you too will know a small amount about what you are doing, and will be able to defeat someone who knows a small amount about what they are doing. Then your rank will change accordingly.

That’s what I mostly play. For three reasons:
a) There is no rank anxiety to both of the players, so you can try stuff or risky/new moves without having that worry in the back on your mind that “you have to win to keep your ranking”.
b) It allows you to even talk/discuss the game with your opponent as it is unfolding, if this is what you like. This allows for teaching games between a higher ranked and a lower ranked opponent.
c) For the above reasons, it is more fun than ranked.
