The all-in-one democratic game

I don’t really follow what you’re trying to say, or how you see the diagram you posted coming onto the board.

Could you add some move numbers or link to an OGS Joseki page?

I envisage us playing simply https://online-go.com/joseki/15562 – I cannot figure out from where you’re pulling this fighting position.

and I believe with “this position” you were refering to the current position in the game. So I considered the moves Q15 and R14 in the current board position and tried to give some analysis.

I mean Q15 and R14 as options for White in response to the inevitable Black S15.

ie. the choice between https://online-go.com/joseki/5445 and https://online-go.com/joseki/5490

Oh, sorry for the confusion. In any case, I believe that S15 has been democratically chosen as move 15 for black.

What should black do if white cross-cuts at S16?

I left some ideas for that cross cut in the demo board https://online-go.com/review/533256

I woke up this morning wanting to be more creative!

Let’s discuss S14 for White~

The second one is a joseki if white played q15 and black s14

if Q15 wins suggestins time!

If I played as white, I would really dislike that black stone

(and thats why I didn’t vote for q15, white loses sky control at the right side, I hope you change your vote)

So I suggest black R14

UPDATE:

now, Q15 officially won.
Still … , no more suggestions?

So we have S14 and R14 till now.

Tengen? Something else?

There are a number of pro games (about ten) in which Black played Q17. I’ll try to come back later with sequences.

http://ps.waltheri.net/database/game/57710/ There’s this sequence, which looks unimaginably vulgar for 2008, but a lot like something an AI might come up with. In this global position I think we would want to omit move 24 and tenuki to somewhere like R6.

http://ps.waltheri.net/database/game/46448/ There’s also this interesting cut variation.

With Q17, White could play elsewhere and spoil any profit on the right side and in the lower corner. I’m not sure there’s enough potential for Black to develop on the upper side as compensation for that.

You don’t think we’re happy enough as Black with something like R2 R4 - P2 Q10?

Then we get sente and we can think about playing something like D7 to harass the C4 stones, whereas White’s shape still seems a trifle janky in the top right, which gives us wiggle room for invasion.
