I’ll play N12
Dearest leader of yellow nation! If you wanted to play it initially and thought that we would allow it - then we are sorrowfully sorry about this little confusion.
J6
Please be sure nothing in our will have changed from the beginning of communication: we still definitely approve connection of your stone, either J5 and J7, or K1 and J5, or all of them. As an excuse for previous misunderstanding we may assure you that our next move would be either K9 or not touching any of Yellow ones.
Your move is telling a different story.
@hjt reminder: it looks like it is your turn now.
As for me, game should flow quick now: I could right down a list of what to do and probably all the turns would actually happen in this order no matter what.
Actually… let me think for a moment…
@martin3141, @yebellz, we have some clear trouble on the field here. The winner of this game is determined by the player that is the only survivor of this game. At this moment, it looks very likely that neither Martin nor I will be that player, due to the stones in the south.
I have so far been planning to create a group with enough eyes to become uncapturable, but that won’t bring me far in this game. Perhaps I can outlive Martin, who seems to be currently under heavy attack, but I will surely be the next to go. Therefore, I feel I have not much to lose, so to say.
I’m ready to eliminate either sokoslav and/or hjt if that would mean I won’t be eliminated yet. So to say, I’m happy to end last on the podium of the North alliance, rather than go down before we have eliminated the Southern states. Ending up as a sacrifice is fine as well, if it brings down one of our enemies.
So, how about we work together to end this quickly?
I don’t have much time right now and am planning to write more later. Let me just quickly say that yes, I want to cooperate with my northern neighbours Red (@Vsotvep) and Sky (@yebellz).
How exactly would we stir up some trouble though? The Green (@Hjt) and Blue (@Sokoslav) Positions are rather solid, and there is the possibility that they will work together to counter our plans.
Actually that is not true nor for you nor for Martin. You can organize living group from H1 and J2 stones, and Martin still can connect so both of you live.
Once again, the bloodlust is stronger than the mind.
Funny that you say that, seeing how you played J6 with obvious intent to cut me.
Funny assumption: you can easily retreat, there is no threat at all
I believe Blue (@Sokoslav) is trying to fool me into a false sense of security. Well it doesn’t matter much, because I don’t trust Blue and their words won’t change my mind.
Yeah, think your own head.
As a matter of fact, Martin cannot connect exactly because you cut him off. Connecting is only possible by playing H9 and G9 first before playing G7, which is exactly the number of liberties that the H5 group has, so if you play K5 and H4 next round, there is no defense possible for Martin. Especially if hjt also plays something like G4.
We can have some short term eyes in the south, but nothing long term. G2 can be captured, L2 can be captured, there’s nothing left of eyes after that.
That is what I’m also struggling with… I think I could play O3, and we may be able to capture something eventually over there?
Splitting up an attack is also a strategy: if one plays O3 and another plays O7, it will be hard to defend against both.
J4 or H4 first, lol, and you can support him with J3 if you wish
O3 seems incredible risky for you to play. I would expect Blue to respond with an atari at O4 or P3, or even just calmly making an eye at P2.
I mean I cannot afford myself to play J4 in almost 10 subsequent turns.
I agree, sadly the prospects of O3 working look grim.
How about this? I’ll play G7 on my move, creating a potentially deadly Ko. If anybody captures me, they risk being captured themselves. If I have a choice how to go down, I want to exit with a Bang
