For anyone familiar with the film, there’s plenty of “ding, ahah” in my description.
This older film was big in its day. Nominated for more than half a dozen Oscars and winning half that number so I am confident that there are people out there that know the answer.
If your not familiar with the film then you probably can’t guess it. I didn’t design my description to be googlable.
It may be that what we are seeing here is a fading interest in ‘The Raptor Game’. If anyone out there knows the answer but doesn’t want to play, remember that you can always put @You_Know_Me out of their misery and then pass your turn or it might be time to pull out a balalaika and let things go.
@Kosh I’mm looking through the list of academy award-winning films now… Even though I saw parts of the film on multiple occasions, I never understood what it’s about. And now you mention a Balalaika. Are we talking about Doctor Жivago?
Hahaha noo no no no no… Please, you go. Poll to put me out of my misery. I pretty much remember it as a love story that takes place during the Bolsheviks revolution. Great soundtrack
A elderly man and his granddaughter, who work in small-scale dairy industry receive a guest who seems sickly. But what’s that, one morning, all the goats are killed and their entrails all over the place! The shepherd boy already seems to know what’s up.
Okay, the raptor who killed and lacerated all the goats is the guest with a frail body, of course.
Our other characters are grampa, granddaughter and a boy who is a goatherd.
And it’s not one single movie, I have in mind. The story has been adapted multiple times.
Real flying raptors want nothing to do with a velociraptor in the snow. But it quickly dies from cold, and a Mongolian girl gets on with her amazing life.
