Toggle to enable/disable stone shadows

Your deluxe design is extreme, in that inspires both extreme like and extreme dislike. The new default is “mid”, which is in between your new design and the old “low” setting.

Maybe we should say that, concisely … somehow :face_with_monocle: :squinting_face_with_tongue:

It’s really good to know it!

I like the low and mid

I don’t get used to the anime. The shadow is far too large which is not realistic and not even nice to watch. It’s like the light is between me and the stones.

Did you try it with the cartoon stone :

?

… it’s not designed to be used with realistic stones, it does indeed look silly with them.

I’m personally a fan of having the big shadows on the slate and shell. Mid shadows on more plain stones makes sense to me.

I do think the mid shadows could lean just a tiiiny bit heavier, but of course I know I like shadows heftier than many here.

Thanks for being open to this iteration! I think it would be really cool if YouTubers started coming to OGS specifically because of the elevated visuals (be they anime, “rich person stones”, or something else)

Oh my bad. I thought “anime” was referring to some animation. A moving shadow (following the sun light for ex).

That would be this thread.

How?

I understood that I didn’t get the cartoon ref, but you can imagine we could associate the word “anime” with animation.

Not saying that OGS needs it.
It could be synchro with the sun btw, like in some other videogames. Completely superfluous I agree.

Right I was just joking that the animation go sever is CGS.
