I’m trying to get in touch with @claire_yang, who wrote some fascinating posts here about Go history, including the evolution of kyu ranks, historical sources, and classical Go texts.
I host a podcast called All Things Go, and I would love to invite her on for a casual interview about her Go-history research, how she got interested in these topics, and what she has learned from digging into historical sources.
I’ve tried reaching out by forum message and on OGS, but I’m not sure whether she still checks either. I’m not asking anyone to share private contact information, but if anyone knows her and would be willing to pass along my note, I would really appreciate it.
Although it’s not uncommon that players fade away from OGS and the forum, I would gladly hear a bit about her, hoping she’s safe and with good health. Her last contribution in this forum was more as 4 years ago already.
I have tried reaching out to her a couple times in the last year and a half or so and haven’t heard anything back. She is one of my favorite people in the forums. I tried to introduce her to Daniela Trinks, but nothing. I truly hope she is okay. Please let us know if you do hear.
