In Settings>Themes & Visuals, there’s a setting for variation stone opacity…

…but it doesn’t appear to work as expected - the variation stones are still fully opaque, e.g (top right corner):
I’m borrowing stones from Tesujitarian, but even with default stones the opacity setting seems to have no effect. Have I misunderstood the features purpose?

I think it might be specifically the AI variations as opposed to all variation.
E.g. 0.6
Opacity 1
Opacity 0.2
Opacity 0.2 with custom stones (tesujitarian example link)

It totally was intended to be for AI variations - folk wanted them to be less obtrusive.
Now there’s the question - should it apply to manual ones as well?!

For me, in my capacity as an obscure Go watcher, I thought I’d like it but having seen Shinuito’s screenshots I’m less sure. Then I thought maybe partial opacity without move numbers might look sexy, but apparently that option only applies to manual variations (not AI ones). I’m sure “The Pile” has more pressing matters.
