Werewolf Game 5.1: Trouble in Steelwater Bog

Don’t we have 12 people?

Gia now feels too confident that I am a snatcher and I am not. I dislike this and their process.

Also I feel the same way about the elimination as I have for the past two days. I still think it benefits us to try to kill an enemy.

We have 11 players. See the list here:

I still believe we should only kill when certain, because we have no feedback whatsoever. We’re currently not certain of Hazel yet, and the oracle is still alive, thus we have a way of finding certain information.

Your bloodlust concerns me.

My main suspicion lies with Dr. Ye Bellz. I have it on fair authority that the professor is an exceptionally intelligent deducer of possibilities. We have yet to see him discuss our situation in the level of detail that we’re used to seeing in his previous research.

If I didn’t believe Ray, your reluctance would concern me as well. Tonight one of us dies, almost for certain.

(@RubyMineshaft I’m probably just tired, protector isn’t bodyguard, they don’t die if protected is attacked, right?)

It’s tactics, if we have a positive one, let’s start making it difficult for them.

When do you think it’s appropriate to start killing?

Correct. If the protected player is attacked, no one dies.

Ok, thanks overlord. (out of likes again :woman_shrugging:)

Either Roy dying at night or nobody dying at night (since we could assume the protector is protecting Roy from now on) will be extra evidence that Roy is the true oracle. Moreover each day without an opposing claim by another oracle gives us more certainty as well.

If Roy is the true oracle, we have the soulsnatchers under control for the time being: we’ve already found one of them, and confirmed two innocents (Maze and I).

Note that we only have certainty about Hazel, and that killing her will also lose us an innocent voter, meaning we’d have less time to spend hunting down the remaining two soulsnatchers. If I’m not wrong, we can still force a win if all soulsnatchers are known with as few as four innocents still alive:

  • kill snatcher #1, 2 snatchers, 4 innocents remaining
  • kill one innocent, 2 snatchers, 3 innocents remaining
  • kill snatcher #2, 1 snatcher, 3 innocents remaining
  • kill one innocent, 1 snatcher, 2 innocents remaining
  • kill the last snatcher (Hazel), which kills 1 innocent, 1 innocent remaining.

In fact, in this case we can speed up the process, since with our witch we can even kill two snatchers in one night.

Look, now things become interesting!

I feel we can be quite certain that either James or Roy is the oracle: it would make no sense for the soulsnatchers to dispatch two fake oracles.

Also, both oracles confirm that I’m innocent, so that means I’m probably innocent. :stuck_out_tongue:

Ok, huge move!

James (@Leira) is claiming to be the oracle (and has also voted yes in my earlier poll)

James is claiming that Butch (@Vsotvep) and Bellz (@yebellz) are innocent.

Roy (@syoon) is fishing for the oracle.

James thinks Hazel (@Haze_with_a_Z) and Maze (@kingkaio) is innocent

Well, there is a slim possibility that Butch (@Vsotvep), James (@Leira), and Roy (@syoon) are all snatchers trying an insanely unlikely ploy…

I think it makes no sense for either oracle to investigate each other.

This puts us in a tough positions: if James is the real oracle, then he should be protected, but that makes Hazel and Maze two very likely targets as well. If Hazel is killed, we’d lose our witch.

Is the death of Hazel a confirmation that Hazel is innocent? Would it make sense for the witch to use her poison to kill Roy when this happens? According to legend (@RubyMineshaft) , witches are very tough to kill, and their spirit hangs around long enough to make a poison effective hours after they have died.

I’m now finding it difficult to understand why Hazel has claimed to be a lover if she’s innocent: that makes her a more likely target.

Translation attempt:

0: Three scenario’s

1.1: Hazel dies and Maze survives,
1.2: then Roy naming snatchers is a strange lie?

2.1: Hazel dies and Maze does not survive
2.2: then the oracle (which one?) dies too

3.1: If Hazel is a snatcher
3.2: Hazel tells her lover at night (they can’t talk, right?)
3.3: Hazel dies, then Maze Lander dies
3.4: I don’t know which is correct

I’m not sure I understand at all, actually…
