If @Gia
is white, it seems Team Black could easily lose the northeast corner. Is that a concern?

If @Gia is on Team White, then the northeast seems to be in flux, but with it being @Leira’s turn, it is possible for Black to capture those three stones and secure the northeast.
However, if @Gia actually turns out to be on Team Black, then attempting to capture those stones would just be wasted, horribly inefficient moves.

Speaking of @Gia, I believe she mentioned that she will be away. Are we going to formally pause? Of course, we’re all excited about the big recent revelations, but it will distort the game to play on while one is not able to fully participate in discussion.

Here is a crazy plan: We ask Jon_Ko and Gia to pass from now on. We will leave the upper right alone and basically play with 4 stones against 3 each round, an advantage even bigger than 5 against 4. The rebel will not allow that of course and we’ll know who that is.
And yes, maybe we should pause the game.

Or, maybe its not worth worrying about losing the northeast corner and play for bigger areas. I think that is what @richyfourtytwo
was suggesting to do.

Now first we should consider the question about my allegiance. There are still three possible scenarios left:
Case JR
I’m a rebel and I won’t tell you about it.
Case JA
I’m the amnesiac and the Merchant put up one hell of a show to convince everyone he is the amnesiac for whatever reason.
Case JS
I’m the last remaining settler. Then the question is why MystWalker didn’t capture at N11. The Merchant only faking to be the amnesiac could explain it, or it could have been a mere mistake.
If you don’t think this is the case, I’ll understand it, but I don’t think I have to remind you how I have treated you in the past, while others have just been hostile towards you.
Second there is the question of what your next move should be. If you believe that we are on the same side, the most obvious move seems to be L12 (as mentioned before). J3 was suggested too and is a good move, but if I’m not on your side, it would risk losing the north east (if my reading is correct, EDIT: it is not). Edit 2: If I am on your side J3 would risk losing the north east, because the Merchant could cut at K9.
Anyway waiting for the Duchess’s view on things is probably the best thing you can do at this moment.

I still like the idea of Leira making a move that is big in both scenarios and asking the two unsure candidates to pass. If they both follow along that gives us a clear advantage. So our fellow settler has no incentive to deviate. The rebel though has a strong incentive to do that.
And to be honest, I sort of like the order in which the two have to move (or pass).

Passing feels like giving up an opportunity to make progress, especially if the settler passes and the rebel makes a play.

I knew myself to be a settler. I was afraid I might be the amnesiac, but if I understand correctly this is not an option any more.
But if I understand correctly, I’m probably surrounded by rebels and going to die a quick and undignified death?
Are settlers verifed B team now, or I misunderstood?
I really need my court to help me keep things in order.
I can’t think with this summer heat, where are the fan bearers when you need them.

I think these scenarios are still theoretically possible for you too. But only you know what you were told at the beginning.
Barbanaira claims to be a rebel and that I am a rebel, but that doesn’t mean it is necessarily the truth.

I think Team Black’s primary goal right now needs to be to limit Team White’s expansion in the southeast corner. What do the rest of the team think?
