If you are on mobile the pop-up shows a miniature envelope - click on it and you can send DMs. Dunno know tho how it works on pc.
Itās clearly unfair. Iād be surprised if what that person did isnāt breaking the site rules in a way that results in being banned entirely. (Not that I can ever find the site rules here when I want to read them.)
I mean, looking at their rank graph, I think they already left >.< I wonder what was in it for them?
You need to reach a certain ātrustā level to DM in the forums. Thatās okay, seriously no one will be bothered if you air this grievance publicly.
$100 was the DDK top prize.
Oh dang- I didnāt realize they were close to the top. Their OGS profile only showed 103 ranked games
Yes, please DM him and DM me proof if you are able and I will remove the original posts. Thanks.
Yep, thanks.
A massive success! And super kudos to you, who have always said you are willing to spend your own money to help the Go community⦠here you are doing it, big time and to great effect! ![]()
Iām sure sofiam just casually registered like all other eligible event and casually went on to winning

Unfortunately, activity on CGS was very low, and opponents hard to find.
Also to everyone who did take offense in my comments, I was never trying to down-talk someones achievement, I was trying to point out, that the high number is misleading. Furthermore correspondence games are not very spectator friendly. So I kind of understood it as a challenge to get higher live game activity, especially since KGS has zero correspondence games. Sure the rules allowed for slower-than-live games, but still counting games, that were coincidentally ended in February is a bit random.
Im Hrafnir on CGS btw. and I really wanted that 100 games badge.
How is it misleading?
Itās a valid number, according to the rules that were decided beforehand, youāre the one saying itās misleading. That is, the one down-talking a perfectly fine achievement.
Just let it goā¦
One of the primary attractions of OGS for me is that I can easily find correspondence games. Playing live games is a nice bonus.
The person youāre concerned about is one of the best opponents you can find and an example of a player that any site should be proud to have. Always friendly and a great opponent. Youāre probably too high level to get paired up, but those of us in the SDK range know.
Being able to finish over 1000 correspondence games in a month is amazing. Itās not like this was some grand scheme hatched in December to game the system. This is a non-stop effort of juggling 100ās of games at a time, constantly.
Not misleading if itās within the clearly expressed rules of the challenge.
Nobody said that, the scope of the challenge was clearly stated by the Organizer (thanks Clossius!) so what you kind of understood is irrelevant. We kind of understand you are trying to down-talk someoneās achievement, soā¦
And Organizer can make it as random as they want, their challenge. They could ask for everyone to write āIām with stupidā in the game chat for the game to count in the challenge and it would still be undeniably a valid challenge.
So, other than you personally kind of not finding the results to your liking (which, OK, I hope you had fun in your games at least), I think thereās nothing to see here. ![]()
CGS made a badge? I wanna see it! (But I guess no one got it
)
I got only the 80 games batch. I guess its golden colored instead of purple.
I feel guilty I didnāt participate more in CGS tbh. It was a good opportunity to get more active.
