I see that ladder-type tournament games that id are only populated by really good players is there a reason for that? Mostly very low k-type players – why are there not ladders for say 18k to 24 k and up type players ??? must be a reason - could anyone tell me ?
I see 25ks in the site 19x19 ladder. Obviously near the bottom.

The 13x13 and 9x9 main ladders also have 25 kyus.

Approx 50% of the bottom 30 players in the 19x19 ladder are TPK/DDK.

Oh, I see, I guess, but when you sign up, there is no indication of the other 25k players its just a leap of faith, I guess. Thanks for those colourful charts. Wherever did you find those here. again thx for input

… Look at all those juicy DDK opponents, even in the first 15 or so above me.
And I can scroll for days upwards finding more…
Personally this is exactly how I find games. I go to this page and start scrolling up to find the target rank I want to play. Then I go to the profile of each prospective opponent to see how they obtained their current rank (ranking up? stable? etc), and any other things you can tell and care about.
