OK Keep in mind folks:
Ratings are still being copied, but the UI is using the new formula. Look at the rating chart if you are looking at peoples ratings and ranks, it’s the only thing that’s reliable right now.

It could make sense in a computing way, more as in a user way, sure.

Wow yeah, I’m SDK now. Feels so wrong :,)
It does seem to fix the 25k problem! I was “forever 25k” when I joined, now it looks like I would have been 25k for a handful of games only.

Alrighty, I think most of the active players have been updated by now. The system will grind through the night for the rest of the player base.
I’ll be running some analytics in the coming days from automatch games to see how the new system is performing and see if there’s any glaring issues with the new rank mapping.

On a side note, it looks like 7 or 8 of my ranked games were lost… I was at 1601 or 1602 ranked games previously, now I’m at 1594 ranked games.
