Everything works fine for me now that I know what is happening
Yay - the "final draft " is on Beta now.
The main difference is that the board-theme that’s chosen is applied to the stone theme pickers, which I hope helps to make it a clearer what’s going on, and also is immediate feedback about what the stone choice looks like on the chosen background.
Is it possible to make images overlap so that you could use something like this?
It’s more of a proof of concept, so it’s only white right now (background should be transparent).
edit: it wasn’t
Can you not make your own multilayered images or are you saying transparent images which should be yes?
I’m trying to figure out how to save it with out a background. Needs some time
Try remove.bg
I don’t think you could do it: the images are scaled to fit into the space allocated to the stone on the board.
Please, more! We could make an event on this with most interesting combo.
Haha, It works!!
Only 2 images can be added , think of it as a single color, but with 2 randomized skins for it. Ideally there would be more than 3 images of each side(6 images in total or more).
It’s Tigereye gemstone.
Option to turn off board grid-lines and turn off last move indicator on stones is needed.
I will never play irl ever again!! I’m having so much fun, thank you!
Obviously, I can use opposite colors.
Or extra challenging: keep only the last move indicator and have fully transparent stone images for both colors.
Can I steal this idea?

@GreenAsJade thank you!!
LOL you all found it before I even knew it was live
That Plants vs Zombies image makes it all worthwhile
“Don’t show last move indicator” has been a request, of its own, for some time. Maybe this use-case pushes it up the list ( I have a reasonable idea how that would be done )
I’m not sure about “hide lines” … that feels pretty core-goban, not easy or worth it for the one amusement perhaps…
