I originally played this game, way back in camp when I was 9. There were over 100 people there, so there’s that. We were all blindfolded, and instructed to stand up and raise both hands when we got to the number we wanted.
I had already known, in my little 9-year-old brain, that 14 was the lowest uninteresting number.
I picked 14.
That was the winning number.
I won a fan.
The entire thing made no sense.
i picked 19, and my logic was, well, if its a process of elimination, people are either generally going to cluster around the lower numbers, or, think their smart and play for 20, with the thought, “No one else would pick the highest number right?”
so, i went for 19, one lower than the highest, with the assumption that it was both uninteresting, and would be a possible number with few overlaps. Though, i suppose that logic does not really stand up, if and when some people think along the same lines.
I think in this digital time and age, where 3D rendering has become quite easy, using globes is the correct answer.
As a second choice, I think the Robinson projection looks most natural, but I bet I think that because it’s being used so often, not because it’s accurate.
Suppose I don’t expect the expected, then the expected are unexpected, given that I expect the unexpected, thus the expected are expected, which is contradictive to my assumption, so assumption mistaken.
Suppose I don’t expect the unexpected, thus the unexpected are the unexpected, meanwhile, given that I expect the unexpected, so the unexpected are expected, which leads to contradiction ,therefore, assumption mistaken.
Considering these circumstances, emm…,I have to choose C.WHATΣ(ŎдŎ|||)ノノ
In other words, consider expected as set P,the unexpected as set !P. ,P∩!P=∅.,∅∉∅
given: !P∈P.
assume that P∈!P, given that !P∈P,thus P=!P=∅,∅∈∅,contradictary.
assume that !P∈!P, given that !P∈P, thus !P∈P∩!P=∅,∅∈∅,contradictary.
WHAT
What a quandary! I want the poll to have a tied result. But if I vote, it will break the tie. So I can’t vote, which means I must not want the poll to have a tied result. But I do. Ahhhhhh!
