Hoe-sai-lei where k is silent.
It’s the same pronunciation of 好犀利 in Cantonese - meaning “Awesome”
How about “yo seek lay”?
Jo-zey-kl, with the ‘ey’ rather being a closed German ‘e’, so it’s actually /dʒo’ze.kl/ for me.
This is beautiful.
Just couldn’t get the the right moves, few variations and I didn’t nail it down
I turn this into a one color Go problem. It would be more about the skill of recognizing the outline than just luck.
Blanket the whole upper right quadrant with interlacing stones
Too many moves
Using the shape and outline to guess the joseki sequence
Magnificent
Extensions are hard without consulting OJE. Actually, everything is hard for me especially with that opening point
May i just ask which josekle is the uptodate to use now?
I believe both yebellz’ and mine are in sync, so either will be the latest
Generally speaking, @okonomichiyaki’s page is the main production version that should be played:
Generally, both of our versions will be in sync for most of the time. Sometimes, my version (which is a development fork) might be working on some new experimental changes, which might mean that is momentarily ahead (until the pull request is processed), or it might be broken with some newly introduced bug. Of course, given the nature of software, both versions could and likely will have bugs at any point in time.
In general, with any changes that I make, I will try my best to ensure that it does not fall out of sync with the daily puzzle presented. Thus, unless there is a bug, playing either version should give the same daily puzzle, although there might occasionally be a slight and intermittent difference in the behavior of the two interfaces. If you find something broken with either version, try the other one and please report the bug via the development thread and/or GitHub issues (whatever is more convenient for you).
To make it easier to play this variant, I’ve added basic support for it to avoid lots of clicking and red Xs. just use this link. It should mark the board with the solution in purple, and you can then proceed guessing the order.
Josekle #7
Too few moves
Impressive
So close on the second try
I feel like the share button isn’t working on my phone anymore.
Josekle #7
Magnificent
I still think that 4-4 approach and attach and double hane might be a good first guess. I’ll keep trying it
“old” explorer version
“new” version
This was my first guess then I could more or less see the pincer joseki after.
Yeah, seems like the share button is broken for me too. I just manually copied the hints for passing below.
Too few moves
Too few moves
Splendid
I think you copy the wrong link for the joseki

Yeh, I didn’t realise I still had it on “old” mode. @GreenAsJade I have a feeling that keeping “old” mode around will probably get confusing as time goes on. It is useful for example testing things, to see if the sources are working etc, but then I end up forgetting to switch back
Yeah, we nearly decomissioned it recently, but then discovered the issue of sources not coming over properly…
