We are going to some trilogy here
How about:
âA tesuji on the board is worth two in the book.â
and
âTo drive the train onto the whaleâs tail.â for those overplays that escape punishment. see: Go Memes! đ§
A few months ago, I coined the saying
âIf you donât know what to play in an unsettled corner position, play 3-3.â
Or in its shortened form âIf in doubt, play 3-3.â
In my experience commenting games, the 3-3 is usually a key point in the corner, and the success rate of this saying has probably been no less than 75%.
Rank obsession handicaps your game.
When in doubt, donât click Estimate Score.
âDonât forget the tenuki option if the move is not in your josekiâ
Perhaps reformed as âdonât rush to punishâ?
In my last game, I failed to apply that idea and let myself be dragged into complications (itâs a no-komi game, but I didnât check that at the time).
When you donât know a complicated joseki, pretend you do. Probably your opponent doesnât know it either and will mess up.

Long thinking leads to bad moves.
If you donât know how to respond, tenuki.
In yose, sente is worth 100 points.
A proverb adapted to the pandemic: donât play close to sickness.
to understand yourself, you must understand baduk
to understand baduk, you must understand shapes
To understand shapes you must eat less pizzas
Surely you mean âfor good shape you must eat less pizzasâ?
Ah yes sounds better like that
I feel like pizza usually behaves like a mass noun, so less pizza like less bread or less cheese.
