I’ve been running this club in a primary school in my home town (village actually) of Baarle since 2012.
Back then my son was in 3rd grade in this school when he gave a presentation about go, and then the school invited me to give a beginners course for 6 students during lunch breaks.
I had just reduced my working time to 4 days a week to improve my work-life balance, so I took this opportunity. And I just kept going. Playing during lunchtime is free.
In 2018 I started an after-school club for players looking to be a bit more challenged. For the afterschool club I asked a small contribution (like 1 euro per week), but I stopped doing that because the club has enough material already (most of the time) and there isn’t much additional funding needed (and the club’s bank account still contains almost 1000 euro).
