White to start and make a seki.
White to begin.
Black to move.
White can live with B15… I got stumped on this variation. Ko always depends on threats but white has a bigger group so it’s something that black can play.
The White stones look vulnerable, but White can live. White to move.
Black to start and capture five White stones and bringing his own three stones back to life.
White to play and live.
My first thought was: “if white just simply captures, how could black kill? How could black prevent that white makes an eye in the corner?”
It took me a while to see how.
Black to play. Mission: capture White group.
Black to play and live.
In this puzzle collection you play both Black and White!
Black to play and kill White.
Surprise. Yesterday radio silence. No response, no discussions, no likes.
Assuming that you are still there, here are three new problems.
Of course you will have to solve yesterday’s puzzles first, before you can start today’s puzzles
Black to move. Black to live.
Can White live in the corner?
White kills Black.
Neat, I just had a variation of that 2nd problem today: https://www.101weiqi.com/q/57717/
Hard problem when one of the variation is 3d level.
I find it incredible hard to rate a problem. I give it a rating and hope I am not too optimistic (or pessimistic). But I wouldn’t be surprised if I was way off many times.
Unfortunately this is the best I can do.
I wanted to argue with Cho Chikun but wasn’t brave enough.
I disagree with B18 as first move.
White can respond B19 and black dies.
Forcing move for black is B19.
White can’t play B18 because black A18 captures three stones and lives.
So white connects at C19, black atari B18, white connects E19.
Now black wouldn’t play A16.
Miai is cool, but connecting suddenly C14 black is alive and makes more points.
You can discuss it with the …
