Any suggestions?
Ugh, all those suggestions now make it hard for me to follow. So let me say this: if the situation will be like in @yebellz last post minus my stone, plus a stone from @Vsotvep anywhere that doesn’t impact the upper right corner, I’ll play L12 as suggested. If @Vsotvep does play in or near the upper right, I’ll have to re-evaluate.
I like this statement!
I agree. But, unfortunately, it is hard to find out information without playing small.
If Sir Richard is white, then I might be black. If I am black, I think it would be best for me to play D3 to preserve space for my team.
But, if I am team white, it is a wasted move if yebellz is also team white.
My head hurts!
Well, L10 would be a remedy against that, since you’re guaranteed to find out which team you belong to
If @yebellz is white, it gives a very large area in the bottom right to the white team.
If I am black, I need to preserve area in the bottom left for my team by playing D3.
If I am white, playing D3 will help solidify the hold on the bottom.
Therefore, I am going to play D3:
Next is @Vsotvep
If you are on team White you just made a move comparable to passing, as far as I’m concerned. I will believe strongly that you, like Jon Ko, are a member of team Black. You “mistook” your first move, and now again you refuse to play what the spy suggests (furthermore, without discussion as well). That is not a convincing settler to me.
I’m not sure what I should play now. I could play L10 to increase the amount of information we have, but I feel it’s more important to kill the Black stones in the bottom left.
I’m off to bed now, so feel free to discuss.
I gave my reasoning in two different posts. I am trying to keep a balance on the board, since I am not sure if I am on team white or black.
And now you’re still not sure if you’re white or black, so you may feel the need to ‘defend’ against your team members next round as well, potentially causing the entire team to fail.
I don’t buy it.
Maybe. It all depends on what is played. Like I said, I need to keep a balance since things are unknown.
That is perhaps a bit overstated.
I never stated if I am white or black. I am simply following the reasoning in the postings above which indicate that Sir Richard is likely the last player on the white team. That reasoning points to me being black. If I am team black, I can’t allow team white to take over the lower left corner. That is it, nothing more. I am not trying to get you to “buy” anything.
I mean, I don’t buy that you’re not sure whether you’re white or black.
@NeilAgg , @MystWalker , have you ever stated what kind of adventurer your characters are? I keep calling MystWalker meister (because it was the most broad honorific I could think of), however, I feel it is somehow wrong.
I’ll amend my posts accordingly, if you prefer something else.
You can call me El Loco
Madman @NeilAgg, alias “El Loco”, then? I think the hermit is too formal not to put an honorific before someone’s name. I’ll make sure that Sor Juana does call you flatly by your moniker.
Love it!
Ah, that explains it!
Just as I expected, the Merchant never really planned to play L10. All he wants is cash. But that’s fitting, Barbanaira
wanted to grab points on the right too.
Kinda ironic that I’m Barbanaira but playing white. I should be Barbalva for the time being.
?!
First, it was Leira who planned I should play L10, not me. Second, I just suggested that L10 could be what I play this round, so it’s rather the other way around: I never planned to play L10, but I might end up playing it anyways this round. Third, of course I just want to grab cash, I’m a merchant.
@yebellz, @Barbanaira, @MystWalker (and I’ll include @richyfourtytwo and @Gia as potential / likely team mates as well, since I believe they are the only remaining settler-believers), what do any of you think are the best moves at this point?
I believe both me and @richyfourtytwo are willing to resolve our identities asap.
I think one ally is needed to help us, and the other should work together with @Barbanaira to settle the right.
Between @Vsotvep and @MystWalker to do either.
