Basically, it doesn’t let me play. I did report my opponent and it was handled but the report triangle is gone, and I see no messages anywhere. How am I supposed to acknowledge a warning if I can’t find it?

There’s something wrong at the moment - we know about it, and are investigating.
You could try cancelling your report. I think this worked in another case of the same problem.
There’s definitely “something actually wrong on the server”, different to the previous case (which was more like “experiencing a bug”).
The server is reporting (in logs) that “something got broken”.
You could try cancelling a report, of course, but just letting you know that it’s likely “wait till we can get a fix in”.

It’s not “more examples of the previous problem suddenly coming to light” it is “something new got broken”.
A “quick fix” has been deployed.
Obviously, we haven’t had a chance to do a lot, but fingers crossed: could those with the “you have an outstanding warning” kind of problem, or “disabled play buttons”, please reload the browser and try again, let us know.
A few days ago this also happened to me. In one of my games I found the purple “press okay to play on” page. So maybe if you open some of your recent games, you will find it.
I think I’ve mentioned before, but just to re-state: this isn’t the same thing, this is “much worse - it’s a nasty breakage on the server”.
Hopefully that quick fix gets things moving, and we’ve also found what appears to be the smoking gun for what broke.
